I'm sure I shall regret this blog title.

You might well ask why my blog is called "No bread at all, but exemplary circuses".

The main reason for picking this random phrase from one of my recent tweets is that ex-Tory MP Jerry Hayes thought it was such a good turn of phrase he asked whether he could steal it for his own use at some point.

I have decided to use it myself.

Whether I shall ever explain here what it refers to remains to be seen.

Suffice to say, it refers in part to one of the more preposterous aspects of "citizen media" coverage of the coalition government. ;-)
